A Little Run to Add Life to Your Day

Hello to all these beautiful new faces I see following me!!! I haven't posted in a while. Life has been..... well life :) I just wanted to stop in and give y'all a little running update....

Not to bring up a sad topic but, something tragic happen to close friend of mine a few days ago and she was in critical condition, she is doing better now thank God, but all this really got me thinking how short life could be and how blessed we truly are. We need to take care of our precious bodies. We need to not take advantage of our health, while we have it.

Y'all know me, I am a former fluffy girl turned fitness freak/runner. I wish I would have discovered this passion long ago. Running releases so much from my body and soul. It all started with a little personal challenge to myself to see if I could run a mile straight through. I was never in my life able to run more than a mile. I remember being so proud of my self for running from my house to my sisters house which was only a couple of blocks away. Maybe .2 miles and I thought that was tough ha! I think that is what sparked my running interest because not long after that I hoped on the treadmill and started working my way up to challenge myself. But wow that little personal challenge went a long way. In less than a year did I ever picture myself running a sub 2 hour half Marathon?! heck no!!!

So to the readers thinking. Yeah that's not me I'm not a runner. Yeah that's not me I could never run. Yeah I don't think I would ever "like" to run. Those are all the same thoughts I thought at the beginning. The same doubts I had of myself. But I'm telling you right now you can! and you will love it! Of course not at first but you will fall in love! It really is like a relationship! I run when I'm stressed, sad, mad, happy, tired, feeling alive!!! It all comes out in your run and you feel amazing after you're done! Even just a mile will give you that satisfaction (I sound like I'm talking about a high off drugs or something haha) if you can't run walk, jog, skip, bike, just get out there and burn off those emotions whatever they may be and give yourself that powerful feeling!!! Every day you will get better and better with each step.....

Yesterday I ran a 5k, I can't believe how fast my I lost my running mojo. 3 miles was killer. for me. I can't wait to build my mileage back up, to where I am running and get to the point where it no longer feels like I'm running but more like running on a cloud ha! That is when the real run begins, and that is when you know you have love for the run and you are a runner!
So the foot has been holing up! I'm going to do 5 miles on Saturday and see how it does with the added mileage! I been dying for a long run since the half marathon! and I'm still going strong with my Jillian Michaels Body Revolution workouts! Finishing up week 4 already! It's flying by and my body is showing the results already! I love that workout so much!

Well I hope I didn't scare y'all off with all this running talk! Just trying to spread the love, spreading the sweet love for the run, and let y'all know you are beautiful, and you deserve to add life to your day! Take that time for yourself. Even if it's a 30 minute walk outside, a cardio DVD in your room for 30 minutes! You deserve every happiness that life has to offer and that starts with you loving yourself.....
